Aqiqah invitations that share the news of your new baby
Aqiqah invitations from Dawati carry the joy of your new baby to family and friends, in a private WhatsApp message to each guest. Design the card for free, list the men's and women's gatherings clearly on it, and show the Hijri date next to the Gregorian one. Guests reply with a tap, and you know the numbers before you settle the food order with the cook.
Aqiqah invitations for two celebrations in one
Many families combine the aqiqah with welcoming visitors who come to congratulate them on the baby. The men gather for lunch or dinner, while the mother and grandmothers receive the women in another majlis. In practice that means two gatherings, often in two places and at two times.
Rather than sending two messages and explaining to every relative where to go, give each gathering its own line on the card: the men's majlis with its place and time, then the women's. Everyone reads the same details, so each guest knows at a glance where to head, and you get far fewer calls asking for directions.
- Give each majlis its own line in the card text: place and time.
- Send one card to everyone instead of two messages and repeated explanations.
- Accept or decline with one tap, no app or account needed.
- Follow every guest's status as it happens: delivered, read, accepted, declined.
The Hijri date on the card
Many families like a baby's invitation to carry the Hijri date, the one older relatives use and remember. Dawati can show the Umm al-Qura Hijri date right next to the Gregorian date, so every guest reads the calendar they're used to.
Because the gap between the birth and the aqiqah is usually short, going digital skips printing and hand delivery: design the card and send it the same day, and replies start arriving as soon as guests open their messages.
Ready-to-send aqiqah wording
Pick the wording closest to your family, add the baby's and parents' names and the details, then use it as your card text. On Pro or Max you can also attach a custom message in your own words.

Details that matter on the day
In the days after a birth, a new father is split between the hospital, home and the preparations. Dawati takes the follow-up off his plate:
- Companions: decide whether guests may bring companions and the maximum each, so numbers stay manageable.
- Inbox: guest replies and congratulations arrive inside the app, often with the traditional prayer for the newborn and his parents.
- Co-host: add a brother or another relative to manage the guest list for you.
- Reminders: before the day, send a reminder chosen from a library of ready wordings.
- Privacy: only the numbers you pick are uploaded, guests can't see each other, and the list stays yours.
When to send an aqiqah invitation
The aqiqah date is usually set soon after the birth, so there's no time for printing. If you can, send the invitation four or five days ahead; when time is tight, three days still works for most relatives. Then send a reminder the evening before or on the morning of the aqiqah.
If colleagues or friends who don't read Arabic are on the list, make the invitation bilingual, Arabic and English together, so everyone understands the time and place without a translation.
The cost: free design, one payment
Designing the aqiqah invitation is completely free; you only pay when you send, once per event, with no subscription. Most family aqiqahs are well served by Standard (69 to 299 SAR depending on guest count), which covers WhatsApp invitations and live RSVP.
If the event is in a hall and you want to control entry, Pro (149 to 699 SAR) gives every accepted guest a personal QR pass. To gather the visitors' photos in one place, the guest photo album is 150 SAR or included in Max. Cancel before the first invitation goes out and you get a full refund.
Frequently asked questions
Can one invitation have different venues for men and women?
Yes. Write both venues and times into the card text, one line for the men's majlis and one for the women's. Every guest reads the same details, so make each line clear with its address and time.
Can the Hijri date be shown?
Yes. You can display the Umm al-Qura Hijri date next to the Gregorian one, which many older family members prefer.
My parents are elderly. Will replying be hard for them?
Not at all. The invitation reaches them on WhatsApp like any other message, and a single tap on Accept or Decline is all it takes, with nothing to install.
Are there templates made for newborns?
Our ready-made templates are mostly wedding-styled, but they're editable, and the calmer, lighter ones suit a baby card once the text is changed. For a design built around the baby's name, order the custom-design service.
Can I invite someone who doesn't use WhatsApp?
Yes. Copy their personal invitation link and send it to them directly; they open the card and confirm through the link.
What if the aqiqah date changes before I send?
Update the date on the card before sending. If you decide to cancel, you're entitled to a full refund as long as no invitation has gone out yet.
